A house built around its own shade.
The site faces the sea from a high, exposed ridge. Rather than opening the house entirely, we chose to shelter it: lime-washed walls, deep courtyards, and a single decisive opening toward the horizon.
The interior route is never direct. You pass thresholds, cross a courtyard with a century-old olive tree, and only then does the sea appear — framed like another piece in the household collection.
Materials are meant to age in plain sight: local limestone, lime plaster, oiled pine. The house is designed to look better twenty years from now.
